Ministry Hub – Pyrkal

Design proposal for the renovation of the PYRKAL facility and its transformation into a Public Administration Park.

The proposal sets 3 goals:

1. The reuse of existing shells and their transformation into modern facilities that accommodate public and utility functions.
2. The creation of a park – a green lung within the residential fabric, also serves as an extension of the Ymittos mountain. The park and free public space that is created forms a network with the existing green spaces and joins them with bicycle lanes and pedestrian paths, essentially improving the environmental footprint of the area and the quality of life of its inhabitants.
3. The preservation and promotion of preserved views and buildings that reflect the historical path of the industrial architectural heritage.
